Warisan addresses water disruption in Central Market

Kota Kinabalu: Warisan Kota Kinabalu Secretary Loi Kok Liang said it had to mobilise a team to supply water to vendors at the Central Market here.

He said the market faced four straight days without water.

“The prolonged water disruption has crippled market operations and devastated hawkers’ livelihoods, with officials repeatedly blaming equipment failures and contractor issues without providing solutions,” he said.

At 5.30am on Sunday, Loi mobilised teams from Warisan Kota Kinabalu and Penampang to deliver 3,000 litres of emergency water via tanker trucks.
