Taiwanese universities to partner with Sabah tourism groups on agro-community tourism

KOTA KINABALU: Five universities from Taiwan have signed an MoU with four Sabah tourism associations to collaborate on agro- and community-based tourism initiatives.

The ceremony was witnessed by Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai here on Wednesday.

Sabah's signatories included tourism associations from Kiulu, Tambunan, Tenom, and Kota Belud, while Taiwanese institutions included Dayeh University and the Taiwan Agro and Rural Tourism Association.

Sabah Tourism Board (STB), chaired by Joniston, will coordinate the initiative as part of efforts under the Sabah Maju Jaya development plan.
