KINABATANGAN: A 38-year-old man sustained injuries after his Perodua Myvi skidded off the road near SK Bilit along Jalan Sukau on Thursday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 8.17am and arrived at the scene, 45km away, at 8.56am.
A nine-member Kinabatangan fire team used special tools to extricate the victim from the wrecked vehicle.
The injured man received initial treatment at the scene before being handed over to Health Ministry paramedics for transfer to Kinabatangan Hospital.
The operation, also involving police and medical officers, ended at 9.36am after ensuring the area was safe.
