Passers-by, including an off-duty firefighter from the Lintas Fire Station, used wooden sticks found nearby to help the 79-year-old woman and her 49-year-old son out of the vehicle.

The woman managed to exit through the back door while the man escaped through the driver’s side window, both holding onto the sticks extended by the rescuers.
