KOTA KINABALU: Parti Solidariti Tanahairku Deputy President Datuk Kenny Chua called on City Hall (DBKK) to investigate public complaints regarding ongoing construction activities at a mixed-development project at 88 Market in Kepayan.
According to him, residents of the nearby Austral Park neighbourhood raised concerns to him about the prolonged construction hours, claiming that work often continued into the evening, causing significant disturbance to the community.
Chua, who visited the area following the complaints, urged DBKK to clarify whether the current construction schedule complied with existing municipal bylaws.
“The GRS State Government welcomes development, but it must be carried out in a way that does not inconvenience the people,” he said.
