KENINGAU: The Tukang-Tukang group emerged as the champion in the 2025 Creative Ethnic Dance Competition (group category), held in conjunction with the Keningau District-level Kaamatan Festival at Dataran Keningau, Saturday.
The runner-up for this category won by Tatarigas Dancer & Art Club, while third place went to Warisan Seni Budaya Kampung Masak.
Three other groups were Dyvete Dudai, Badau Dance Troupe and Persatuan Gana Bingkor, each received consolation prizes.
In the duo category, the pair of Darylene Calista Delvin and Clevery Xiaverra were crowned champions.
There were no second and third place winners for this category, but the remaining three pairs each received consolation prizes.
Meanwhile, Darlyne Calista Delvin Uik won the solo category, while three other participants Clevery Xiaverra, Elena Diane Freadoline, and Regina Cassie Freadoline, each received consolation prizes.
The Keningau District-level Kaamatan Festival held for three days starting Friday and concluded on Sunday, with the closing ceremony officiated by Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, who is also the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Industry.
