KUNAK: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said he respects Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s views on the need for political stability in Sabah, following their meeting in Tawau on Sunday.

Anwar, who is also Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman, had expressed hope that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would collaborate with PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) for the upcoming 17th state election.

Hajiji said GRS is open to cooperation, but any decision must be made collectively by the coalition’s Supreme Council.

He reiterated GRS’s commitment to leading the state government into PRN17, stressing that Sabahans desire a government led by a locally-based coalition.
