KOTA KINABALU: Upko president Datuk Ewon Benedick (

He described it as a unifying theme that reflects local pride and identity, provided it fosters state and national cohesion.
Ewon made the remarks after officiating the takeover of Klinik Sahabat by Kopeks from Koop Sahabat.
He added that Sabah-based parties are free to adopt their political approaches, including forming collaborations with national or international parties that uphold democracy.
As a Sabah party leader, he stressed that slogans must translate into action to solve real issues like road conditions and internet access, not remain mere rhetoric.
