Penampang Kaamatan festival May 18
Francis said this year’s celebration carries the theme “Kaamatan Montok Toinsanan” or “Kaamatan for All”, reflecting the spirit of unity and inclusiveness among the people of Sabah.
PENAMPANG: Public members are invited to attend and enliven the Penampang District-level Kaamatan Festival celebration to be held at Buhavan Square in Donggongon here this Sunday (18 May).

Penampang District Council (MPP) Francis Chong said this year’s celebration carries the theme “Kaamatan Montok Toinsanan” or “Kaamatan for All”, reflecting the spirit of unity and inclusiveness among the people of Sabah.

“MPP warmly invites all residents of Penampang and its surrounding areas to come together and join in the festivities of this year’s Kaamatan celebration,” he said after chairing the Penampang District-level Kaamatan Festival Coordination Meeting.

The opening ceremony will be officiated by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick, who is also Penampang MP. The ceremony will also be streamed live on MPP’s official Facebook page.

The coordination meeting was also attended by MPP Deputy President Noemi Dyena, the Penampang Parliamentary Service Centre Constituency Liaison Officer Alvin Lee, Sugandoi Penampang Chairman Miklin Ationg as well as subcommittee chairs and representatives from State and Federal departments.
