GRS must stay in driver’s seat
Jalil said on the other hand what is important is for GRS to treat every state seat as precious and “field only winnable horses for a solid performance at the polls and emerge as the winner of most seats. GRS must avoid taking risks by fielding lame horses”.
LABUAN: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), as the ruling State coalition, should remain in the top position in any alliance reached with Federal-based coalition parties in facing the coming State election.

“Similar to GRS supporting PH and BN at Federal level, these Federal-based coalitions should support GRS at State level which can be a smart arrangement for all to gain from the polls,” said activist Abdul Jalil Ghani.

He was referring to both PH and BN stating being open to co-operation in the polls and GRS undecided except that it was prepared to go solo rather than work with BN, which tried very hard to bring down the Hajiji-led State Government but failed.

“It will be a smart political manoeuvre to provide some space to the Federal-based coalition because without any of their presence in the State Government, Sabah will become an opposition State.
