KOTA KINABALU: The newly-launched Sabah Mr Kaamatan Alumni Association (PAMRKS) is hoped to strengthen the continuation of the Mr Kaamatan (BTK) platform as a cultural force to inspire the Kadazan Dusun Murut (KDM) community.
Maceos vice-president Datuk Paduka Rehan Rahim, who officiated the launch, said the initiative, led by 2024 BTK winner Bonyvanture Hee, marks a significant milestone in building a lasting legacy for cultural pride and leadership.
She praised the formation of PAMRKS as a unifying force, urging it to mirror the achievements of the Sabah Unduk Ngadau Association by promoting youth leadership and the preservation of tradition.
Bonyvanture, who now serves as PAMRKS chairman, said the association was a long-held dream realised through months of careful planning, with the goal of empowering alumni to become cultural ambassadors and role models.
BTK organising chairman Casey Jovial welcomed the initiative, and expressed hope for PAMRKS to play a key role in community engagement efforts.
