Syabu worth RM87,000 seized at Tawau airport, two arrested

TAWAU: Police seized RM87,000 worth of syabu smuggled from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Tawau Airport on Saturday.

Tawau Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said two suspects, a 44-year-old man from Perak and a 21-year-old from Sarawak, were arrested.

"The 2.5kg of syabu was hidden in a biscuit tin, plastic noodle packaging, and food mix inside a suitcase," he said.

Police also confiscated three mobile phones, two red and black suitcases, a vacuum sealer, and a water bottle for further investigation.
