Call to revive politically delayed Kunak District Office project
The regrowned proposed site despite initial clearing works in 2018.
KUNAK: Umno Lahad Datu Youth Chief and BN Youth Exco Dato' Sri Anil Sandhu has urged the current government to expedite development projects that were previously approved, including the construction of the new Kunak District Office.

The project, on an 8.01-acre state-owned land near Kunak Spur Road, was approved in 2017 under the late Datuk Nilwan Kabang’s administration.

However, it was stalled following the 2018 general election due to alleged political interference after a change in government.

Anil said the delay caused financial losses for contractors and left the site overgrown with vegetation. He stressed that all previously approved projects should proceed, regardless of political shifts.
