LAHAD DATU: Two local men were detained in the Ops Tapis conducted by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division at Jalan Reno Fajar, here, on Monday.

District Acting Police Chief, Supt. Jimmy Panyau, said the first suspect was detained with 0.22 grams of Syabu and two aluminium foils in his possession.

Jimmy said urine tests conducted on both suspects found that both of them were positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.

“The suspects were also found to have several previous criminal records related to drugs.

“The duo were currently detained for investigation under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952,” he added.
