Elderly woman found safe after going missing in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A 75-year-old woman reported missing from her home in Felda Sahabat 5, Kampung Desa Kencana on Tuesday was found safe the following day.

Rosmini Iskandar was located about 300 metres from her house by her family at around 11.40am on Wednesday.

District Fire and Rescue chief Sumsoa Rashid said they received a distress call about the disappearance at 10.28pm on Tuesday, with reports stating she went missing around 1pm in a plantation area.

Initial search efforts by family members and villagers failed, prompting a joint operation involving the Fire and Rescue Department, police, and the Civil Defence Force.
