LAHAD DATU: Two foreigners have been arrested for allegedly injuring a man in Kampung Epil on April 3.

District acting police chief Supt Jimmy Panyau said they were detained at Kampung Tanah Rata, Kunak.

The arrest followed an incident reportedly triggered by the suspects making sexually harassing remarks to the victim’s wife.

The victim was allegedly assaulted with a belt on the forehead after confronting the suspects.

Jimmy said the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code, which carries up to 10 years’ imprisonment, a fine, whipping or a combination of any two.
