PENAMPANG: A 29-year-old man was rescued in a suicide attempt late Monday night at an apartment complex in Taman Vista Minintod.

The distress call was received at 11:19 pm and a team from the Penampang Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene within 10 minutes.

The man was found on the third floor of Block P, where he was reportedly threatening to jump.

Firefighters managed to safely intervene and rescue the man with the help of his mother and wife, who were present at the scene.

The operation concluded at 12:43 am as the victim was reported to be unharmed and was handed over to police for further action.
