LAHAD DATU: The police arrested two local men suspected involved in gang robbery at Kampung Binuang, here, on Monday.
District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said the duo were believed robbing a 35-year-old man at about 6am.
The suspects were believed to have attacked the victim before taking away his motorcycle.
“Following the incident, the victim suffered injuries to his chest, shoulder and hands,” he said, in a statement on Tuesday.
Jimmy said the two suspects were detained separately on Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
One of them was found to have previous criminal records involving drugs.
He added that both suspects were currently detained for investigation under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code.
