Sabah’s role as a key producer of crude palm oil and cocoa was highlighted during a courtesy visit by Deputy Minister of Plantation and Commodities Datuk Chan Foong Hin to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on Tuesday.

The visit, held at Menara Kinabalu, aimed to strengthen federal-state collaboration in boosting agricommodity productivity and ensuring the continuity of relevant national policies.

Discussions included streamlining land ownership verification to assist smallholders under the Palm Replanting Financing Scheme 2.0 and implementing a digital database system for foreign workers in the palm oil sector.

The Ministry expressed appreciation for Hajiji’s continued support and emphasised that close cooperation between federal and state governments would further enhance Sabah’s competitiveness in agricommodities.
