TIBNIN: MALBATT 850-12 hosted a Gawai and Kaamatan celebration at Tibnin Camp to showcase Malaysia’s cultural heritage under the UNIFIL mission.

The event featured traditional dances like Ngajat, Alu-Alu, and Sumazau, along with festive Dayak and Kadazandusun cuisine. A symbolic Potong Ranyai ceremony marked the spirit of gratitude and unity.

Western Sector Commander Brig Gen Nicola Mandolesi and other UNIFIL personnel attended.

MALBATT Commander Col Johan Effendi presented traditional Dayak gifts, a Parang Ilang and Terabai, to guests.

The celebration promoted cultural diplomacy and unity among multinational peacekeepers, highlighting Malaysia’s strength in diversity.
