Woman trapped in Kota Kinabalu collision

Kota Kinabalu: A minibus collided with a Proton Persona early Thursday at the Jalan Kepayan flyover near the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, trapping a 28-year-old woman inside the car. 

Emergency services were alerted at 7.52am where firemen arrived five minutes later and freed the woman who was then rushed to the hospital with injuries.

The male driver of the Proton Persona, aged 30, and the male driver of the minibus, aged 56, both escaped unscathed. 

The operation involved 14 personnel and included units from the Fire and Rescue Department, Ministry of Health, and police.
