The incident was captured in a CCTV footage.
TAWAU: A 34-year-old man was seriously injured after being hit by a Toyota Hilux and thrown into a roadside drain while jogging with 20 others at Batu 3, Jalan Apas, Tawau around 3.50am on Saturday.

The hit-and-run occurred while the group was jogging from McDonald’s towards Bandar Sri Indah, with the victim among the front three runners when the vehicle struck from behind.

CCTV footage shows the bronze-coloured Hilux speeding off after the impact, and police are now tracking the driver under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
