KOTA KINABALU: A 40-year-old male motorcyclist was killed after becoming trapped beneath an 8-ton lorry in a road accident near Puri Warisan, Jalan Tuaran Bypass, at around 5.30pm on Wedneday.

The victim was found pinned under the lorry and had been removed by members of the public before emergency services arrived.

The incident was reported via MERS999 and Lintas rescue units arrived at the scene in nine minutes.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Ministry of Health personnel and the case was handed over to the police for further action.
