TAWAU: The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) is ready to introduce new AI-related fields in Community Colleges for young people in Sabah to ensure the institutions remain relevant and on par with other higher learning institutions (IPT) in the country.
Its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said Community Colleges must move with the times by offering skills-based education that meets the demands of the current job market.
“We want Community Colleges to explore new areas such as AI to provide the best educational opportunities for students to prepare for available jobs.
“We will also review the role of Community Colleges to ensure they are suitable for introducing new fields like AI technology,” he said.
