Gerakan eyes Sabah comeback, vows to address core issues

KOTA KINABALU: Gerakan will contest in the upcoming Sabah state election, with party president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai saying preparations are in full swing.

He said the party is engaging local groups to shape a manifesto addressing key issues like water, electricity, and the long-unfulfilled Malaysia Agreement 1963.

“We must field candidates who can deliver real solutions. Gerakan is ready if the state assembly is dissolved as early as July," he said.

While open to alliances, he said Sabah’s political landscape remains fluid.
