SUNGAI PETANI: An elderly man was caught dragging a four-month-old puppy behind his motorcycle in a shocking act of cruelty in Taman Keladi on Sunday.

Video and photo evidence widely shared online shows the female puppy tied to the rear of the motorcycle, her raw and bloodied paws scraping against the pavement.

The rider was confronted by a bystander who shouted at him to stop, prompting the man to admit the dog was his and that he no longer wanted it.

Good Samaritans rescued the injured puppy and brought it to a veterinary clinic for urgent treatment.

Outraged social media users have since circulated footage and vehicle plate details, calling for authorities to take swift action against the perpetrator.
