LAHAD DATU: Two men, including a local, were detained separately during Ops Tapis at Kg Puyut on Monday for possessing drugs.
District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said the first suspect, a 29-year-old local man was arrested after police found 0.20 grams of Syabu in his possession.
The suspect also tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.
The suspect also had two previous criminal records related to drugs, he said.
Police also detained a 58-year-old man for possessing 0.78 grams of Syabu, tested positive for drugs and had previous criminal record.
“Both of the suspects are being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952 and will be remanded for further investigation,” he added.
