IPOH: A man was recently caught allegedly recording an upskirt video of a woman at a shopping mall here.
The victim's sister claimed on Facebook that her sibling noticed something odd while shopping with her boyfriend on Sunday, before spotting the man's phone beneath her skirt.
The boyfriend confronted the suspect and, during the exchange, seized his phone and demanded that he unlock it.
They allegedly found a folder named 'Voy Comp 49' containing multiple upskirt videos and close-up shots of women’s bodies.
A store employee was then alerted, and mall security called the police, with the staff noting the suspect had frequently loitered there.
A video shared online showed the man claiming to have a medical condition that made him unable to control his behaviour.
It was reported that the police confirmed the case and said the suspect is currently under remand.
