KOTA KINABALU: Sabah marked the official 74th birthday of Head of State Tun Musa Aman with an 80-contingent parade at Padang Merdeka on Saturday.
Musa, accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Faridah Tussin, was received by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and his wife Datin Seri Juliah Salag.
They were joined by Deputy Chief Minister and organising chairman Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong, and other dignitaries.
The ceremony began with Tun Musa inspecting the guard of honour as 17 cannon shots were fired from Signal Hill.
A cake-cutting event and cultural performances followed before the parade concluded with the investiture and state medal presentation at Istana Seri Kinabalu.
