KOTA KINABALU: As the 17th Sabah state election draws near, former Chief Minister Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak has called for a more respectful and idea-driven political campaign.
“Politics should not be about attacking individuals, it’s about providing solutions,” he stated in a recent Facebook post.
The Usukan assemblyman stressed that success shouldn’t come from undermining others but through clear strategies, sound ideas, and a proven record of service.
“Personal attacks and emotional arguments only divide us and distract from the real issues,” he said.
Salleh urged for a more mature political discourse, grounded in professionalism and sincerity.
“We can differ in opinion, but if we stay respectful, we can still work towards the same goal: a better future for Sabah and Malaysia," he said.
