Novas, Satvoc and Bestmart join forces to boost graduate jobs

KOTA KINABALU: Pusat Kemahiran Novas has signed an MoU with the Sabah Technic & Vocational Community (Satvoc) and retail group Bestmart to enhance job opportunities for technical and vocational graduates in Sabah.

The collaboration introduces a streamlined system to match job-ready graduates with employers, aiming to cut recruitment costs, reduce turnover, and bridge skill gaps across industries.

Bestmart highlighted challenges in staff retention and expressed confidence in the readiness of Novas-trained graduates. 

Satvoc Chairman Suherman Andi Tunru said the initiative would prioritise access to industry-aligned training and employment, particularly for underserved communities.

The signing ceremony was held in here and witnessed by Public Relations Secretary to the Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Amos Thien Tze Tin.

Also present were Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kian Kok Middle School Datuk Clement Yeh, Datuk Ram Singh, education and business sector players.

A collaboration agreement was signed between Kian Kok Middle School and retail chain Bestmart to provide early workplace exposure for students which Clement signed the agreement on behalf of the school.
