Woman killed in three-vehicle crash in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: A woman died and another was injured in a three-vehicle collision involving a Perodua Myvi, a Toyota Hilux, and a 10-tonne lorry in Taman Warisan, Jalan Sungai Nipah here on Wednesday.

The 56-year-old female passenger of the Myvi was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 69-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was sent to hospital for further treatment.

Three other men - two in the Hilux aged 60 and 62, and a 24-year-old lorry driver - escaped unharmed.

Eight firefighters from Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station responded to the 2.34pm call and arrived within eight minutes.
