Woman killed in Lahad Datu crash
Fire and Rescue personnel at the scene helping out one of the drivers.
LAHAD DATU: A 56-year-old woman was killed following a three-vehicle crash at Taman Warisan, Jalan Tengah Nipah, here, on Wednesday.

District Fire and Rescue Station Chief, Sumsoa Rashid, said his department received a distress call following the incident at 2.34pm via MERS999.

A team of eight Fire and Rescue personnel rushed to the scene in a machinery and EMRS vehicle.

Upon arrival, the team found a Perodua Myvi, Toyota Hilux and a 10-tonne lorry involved in the mishap.

“Five victims were involved. A medical officer pronounced the passenger in Perodua Myvi dead at the scene and handed over to police for further action.

“The Perodua Myvi’s driver who sustained injuries was given treatment by the EMRS team before being sent to the hospital for further treatment,” he said.
