KINABATANGAN: A man identified as Mohd Zulkarnain Yusop is feared drowned after reportedly jumping into the Kinabatangan River near Kampung Bilit, Sukau, on Sunday morning.

According to Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue chief PPgB Hairi Utoh, the department received a distress call at 9.12 am and arrived at the scene around 10.20 am. Initial reports from a witness indicated the man was seen jumping into the river.

A search and rescue (SAR) operation was launched using surface water search methods, but the victim has yet to be found. Efforts to locate him are ongoing.
