KUNAK: A single-storey house and two vehicles, a Proton Wira and Proton Waja, were destroyed in a fire at Kg Buang Sayang, Jalan Kunak Jaya on Tuesday morning.

Kunak Fire and Rescue Chief Mohamad Omarbatha said they received the emergency call at 8:45am.

Eight firefighters led by Operations Commander PBKI Rosman Gari were dispatched to the scene, about six kilometres from the station.

The fire was extinguished using a 500-foot hose line with water from the FRT engine and nearby hydrant. The operation ended at 11:40am.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and estimated losses are under investigation.
