Man escapes unhurt after gunmen open fire outside primary school in Butterworth

BUTTERWORTH: A man in his 40s narrowly escaped injury after unknown assailants fired multiple shots at his four-wheel-drive vehicle in front of SK Sungai Nyior here on Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred at about 5.40pm while the victim was reportedly waiting to pick up his child from school.

It is understood that one of the suspects fired several shots at the driver’s side window before fleeing the scene.

Seberang Perai Utara District Police Chief ACP Anuar Abdul Rahman confirmed the incident when contacted.
