SIPITANG: Five primary schools in Sipitang — SK Banting, SK Merintaman, SK Pantai, SK Kebawang and SK Kawang — held a friendly netball competition at the hall of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Padang Berampah Sipitang on Wednesday.
The competition was organised by SK Merintaman and according to its headmaster, Arif Bagol, the event served as preparation for the upcoming Sipitang District School Sports Council (MSSD) netball tournament, which will be held at the hall of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Berampah (SMKPB) Sipitang on July 16-17.
“In addition, it aimed to strengthen the relationship between the schools and to foster the spirit of sportsmanship among the students,” he said.
