Kota Kinabalu: Darau assemblyman Azhar Datuk Matussin again urged the State government to take immediate and concrete action to resolve the long-standing flooding in Taman Wijaya, Manggatal which has plagued residents for the past five years now.
He said it is imperative for the State Government to end their suffering.
“Based on community complaints and on-the-ground observations, to severe sedimentation in the main drains connected to the Sungai Rampayan as a key contributor to the problem.
“This sediment build-up has increasingly obstructed water flow, resulting in floods whenever heavy rain strikes.
