Missing angler found dead after boat capsizes in Kinabatangan

KINABATANGAN: A 46-year-old man reported missing after a fishing boat capsized near Ladang Temenggong on Sunday morning was found dead later the same day.

The victim, identified as Adzly Kassim, was discovered by villagers around 6.30pm about 15 metres from where he was last seen.

District Fire and Rescue Station chief Hairi Utuh confirmed that Adzly was pronounced dead at the scene before being handed over to police for further action.

Earlier, the three other men who were with him managed to escape and lodged a report before the Fire and Rescue control room was alerted by police at 11.49am.
