KOTA KINABALU: The State Government has welcomed the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar’s special announcement aimed at easing the people’s cost of living, describing it as a sign of strong national economic fundamentals.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor (pic) said the people-first initiatives reflect the Madani Government’s commitment to the rakyat’s well-being.
He highlighted the RM100 one-off cash aid for all adult Malaysians and the extension of Rahmah Madani sales to every state constituency as timely support.
Hajiji also praised the plan to lower Ron95 petrol to RM1.99 per litre via targeted subsidies, expected to benefit over 18 million Malaysians.
He added that declaring September 15 as a public holiday is a meaningful gesture recognising Malaysia Day for all.
