KOTA KINABALU: Gagasan Rakyat Beliawanis Chief Emmie Martin Idang has called on the party’s women’s youth wings to uphold discipline and loyalty as Sabah prepares for the 17th state election.

She said the Beliawanis must act as a shield for party leadership under Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, not just as supporters, stressing that such leadership is built on experience and strong principles.

She warned against internal and external efforts to destabilise the party, urging members to be strategic messengers of government policy and strengthen grassroots support.

On calls for GRS to contest solo, she reminded members to respect leadership decisions made with wisdom, not emotion.

She urged the Beliawanis to stand firm, carry their responsibilities, and move forward with full commitment to the party’s direction.
