PENAMPANG: Police arrested a 40-year-old local man and confiscated 70.32 grams of suspected methamphetamine (Syabu) worth RM10,500 in a drug bust here, Saturday.  

Police conducted the raid at around 4.30pm and found seven transparent plastic packets containing crystalline substances believed to be Syabu.  

The suspect tested positive for methamphetamine/amphetamine in a urine test. 

Penampang District Police Chief Supt Sammy Newton warned the public against drug involvement and urged cooperation in reporting illegal activities.  

“Substance abuse and trafficking are serious crimes. We will continue enforcement to protect the community,” he said.
