Sabah sets up law reform advisory council

KOTA KINABALU: The State Government has formed the Sabah Law Reform Advisory Council (SLRAC) to support legal reform, strengthen governance and promote the rule of law in Sabah.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said the initiative aims to modernise the legal framework to better reflect the needs of the people.

He expressed hope that the Council's recommendations would guide lasting and meaningful legal improvements in the state.

The SLRAC is chaired by former Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak, Tan Sri David Wong Dak Wah, and includes legal experts Datuk Daniel Tan Jwee Peng, David Fung Yin Kee, Datuk John Sikayun, Datuk Roger Chin Ken Fong, and Shakinur Ain Karama, with Janice Junie Lim as Secretary.
