Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) is targeting 30 per cent of its membership to comprise young entrepreneurs.
Its President, Datuk Michael Lui Yen Sang, said SUCCC currently has 30,000 members statewide, including 1,000 in the state capital.
“We are encouraging more young entrepreneurs to join SUCCC and be involved in the decision-making process,” he told reporters after a courtesy call on Head of State, Tun Musa Aman, here, Monday.
Michael said SUCCC, as a business entity, continues to support the State Government in ensuring political and economic stability to attract investors and boost the people’s income.
He said SUCCC also collaborates with the State Government to attract foreign investment, particularly from China and other Asian countries.
“SUCCC also offers various opportunities to promote tourism and assist local entrepreneurs in strengthening the export industry in the future,” he added.
He said the courtesy call also served to introduce 20 SUCCC members and brief Tun Musa on the association’s ongoing economic activities.
