Preliminary post-mortem findings to be shared with Zara’s family
KOTA KINABALU: The post-mortem on 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir began at around 11.30am on Sunday, led by forensic pathology specialist Dr Khairul Anuar Zainun from Serdang Hospital.

Family lawyer Hamid Ismail (pic) said the examination is expected to conclude within the day, enabling Zara’s reburial in Sipitang.

Legal partner Shahlan Jufri was present to observe the procedure, while Zara’s mother, Noraidah Lamat, waited nearby.

Hamid said preliminary findings would be shared with the family and media, while the complete report would be submitted to police.
