Sarawak to resume talks on health autonomy
KUCHING: Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian (pic) will meet Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad on Monday to follow up on outstanding matters in the state’s push for health autonomy, the New Straits Times reported.

The discussions will cover the Samarahan cancer hospital project, staffing shortages, the return of Sarawakian medical officers from the peninsula, and greater administrative powers.

This will be Sim’s second meeting with Dzulkefly on the state’s health autonomy roadmap, with the first held in April.

Any agreed matters will be taken to the Technical Committee on MA63 on August 18, before the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council meets on Sept 12.
