PUTATAN: Two people sustained minor injuries when a tree fell onto a car along Jalan Ulu Putatan on Monday morning.

The Proton Saga was travelling from Jalan Ramayah towards Jalan Ulu Putatan when the incident occurred at about 8.22am.

Firefighters from the Putatan Fire and Rescue Station arrived within minutes and found both occupants already receiving first aid from Civil Defence Force personnel.

The injured, a man and a 46-year-old woman, were later taken by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

The fallen tree was cut and removed using a chainsaw before the area was cleared to ensure it was safe.
