Family lodges police report over false online claims
LAHAD DATU: The family of a 16-year-old student has lodged a police report over online allegations linking her to the case of the late Zara Qairina Mahathir.

Her father, Muhammad Yasim Abdul Samad, said his daughter transferred from SMK (A) Tun Datu Mustapha Limauan, Papar, to Lahad Datu Vocational College early this year.

He said the incident involving Zara occurred after his daughter had already left the school.

A TikTok video featuring her photograph claimed she was involved in the case, drawing more than 10,000 views and attracting critical comments.

Muhammad Yasim said the video has since been deleted and an apology issued, but the false claims continue to circulate.
