Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) has approved three locations to be used for an upcoming Zara Qairina Mahathir Solidarity Gathering, scheduled for August 15 and 16.

In its statement on Thursday, DBKK said the approved venues are Padang Merdeka from 7pm to 11pm on Aug 15, 2025 Chong Thien Vun Park from 2pm to 4.30pm on Aug 16, 2025 and Lintasan Deasoka from 5.30pm to 11pm on Aug 16, 2025.

DBKK stressed that the approvals were issued in accordance with its procedures and are subject to specific conditions, including requirements from other relevant authorities.

DBKK also clarified that the foyer area of its headquarters is not among the approved venues, dismissing claims circulating on social media.

DBKK urges all participants to maintain cleanliness at the venues and to use available public facilities responsibly throughout the gatherings.
