PAPAR: A 23-year-old man was injured when five vehicles were involved in a road accident along Jalan Pan Borneo near Kampung Kawang here on Sunday afternoon.

The collision occurred at about 4.04pm and involved a trailer lorry, three Mitsubishi Triton four-wheel drives, and a Perodua Bezza.

Fire and Rescue personnel from the Papar station, led by a team of eight, arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the call and conducted safety checks.

The injured driver, who was in the Bezza, sustained minor injuries and received initial treatment from emergency responders but declined to be taken to hospital.

Other drivers and passengers, including three men aged between 21 and 38 in the Tritons and the lorry driver, escaped unharmed.
